Solid Accounting is a one-time purchase. You buy the tier you need and keep using the version you bought. Updates & Cloud Services (optional, yearly) keeps you on new releases and runs the connected services. The first year is included with your purchase.

What we don't charge for
- Storing your books. Your company file lives on your computer.
- Volume. No per-transaction, per-invoice, per-customer, or per-report fees.
- Exports. Reports export to PDF and CSV; tax data exports to TXF.
- QuickBooks® Desktop migration. The migration tool ships inside the app and keeps working without Updates & Cloud Services.
Choosing between added users and a higher tier
Adding users costs $100 each. Upgrading Standard ($349) to Professional ($499) costs $150 more and adds two users plus the Professional features. So:
- 4 users on Standard: one added user ($100) is cheaper.
- 5 users: Professional costs less than two added users on Standard, and adds Locations, Projects, custom reports, and consolidation.
