The Windows installer is digitally signed by Solid Accounting LLC — Windows shows our name as the verified publisher when you run it. If Windows SmartScreen shows a blue dialog, click More info, then Run anyway.
The Mac app is not yet signed by Apple, so macOS stops it the first time you open it. You do this once for each version you install:
- Open the .dmg and drag Solid Accounting Desktop into Applications.
- Open the app. When macOS says it can't be opened, click Done.
- Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway next to Solid Accounting Desktop.
- Enter your Mac password, then click Open Anyway once more.
On macOS 14 or earlier you can instead Control-click the app, choose Open, then Open.
Updates download and install inside the app; restart to finish. You only need Open Anyway the first time.
On Linux:
- Ubuntu or Debian (.deb): double-click the .deb to install with App Center. Solid Accounting then appears in your app list. From a terminal instead:
sudo apt install "./Solid Accounting Desktop_26.10.12_amd64.deb" - Other Linux (AppImage): make it executable and run it; it won’t add itself to your app list.
chmod +x "Solid Accounting Desktop_26.10.12_amd64.AppImage"
